On September 8, the Municipality of Lagos officially hosted the launch of the Algarve Digital Innovators (ADI) Network and the presentation of the Algarve Tech Hub Summit, within the scope of the Algarve Empreende 2026 program.
The event, held at the Fábrica do Empreendedor, brought together community leaders, regional entities, and partners from the innovation ecosystem, fostering idea sharing and networking.
The ADI Network is the result of a partnership between the University of Algarve, AMAL, Algarve STP, Algarve Evolution, NERA, and ANJE, with the main goals of strengthening cooperation between communities, supporting startups and SMEs, attracting talent, and bridging the gap between businesses, academia, and public entities.
The event featured speeches by Hugo Pereira, Mayor of Lagos, as well as representatives from CCDR Algarve and the University of Algarve, and concluded with a press conference followed by a networking session.
The Algarve Digital Innovators is now preparing its intermunicipal roadshow, which will take place between September and November 2025, further reinforcing the Algarve’s role as a region of innovation and technological entrepreneurship.
